ಭಾರತ 🇮🇳 ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ಮಭೂಮಿ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಮಾನವರು ವಿಶೇಷವಾದ ಕರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು (ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಗಳು) ಆಚರಿಸಲು, ಮೋಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶವಿದೆ.
ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಯಜ್ಞ ಯಾಗಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಭಾರತದ ಭೂಮಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಪರಿಸರವು (ನದಿಯ ದಡಗಳು, ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳು) ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಮತ್ತು ಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನಂಬಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಣೆ ⚖️
ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯವಾದಿ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನದಿಂದ "ಸರಿ" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬಹುದು.
ಭಾರತ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಇತರೆ ದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೋಗ ಭೂಮಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಕೆಲವು ಕಠಿಣ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪೀಠಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ವಿದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಪೂಜೆ-ಪುನಸ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮನ್ನಣೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದು ಸರಿಯೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
- ಸಂಕಲ್ಪದ ನಿರ್ಬಂಧ: ಪೂಜೆಯ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶ, ಕಾಲ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನ್ನು (ದೇಶ, ಸಮಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳ) ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಭೋಗಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 'ಕರ್ಮಭೂಮಿಯ' ಪುಣ್ಯಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳ ತೇಜಸ್ಸು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
- ಶುದ್ಧತೆಯ ಅಂಶ: ಅನೇಕ ವೈದಿಕ ಕರ್ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳು, ನದಿಗಳು (ಗಂಗಾ, ಯಮುನಾ, ಕಾವೇರಿ) ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ವಾತಾವರಣವು ವಿದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ.
ಇಂದು ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸ ಬಹುದು. ಸಮುದ್ರ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬಹಳ ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ದೂರದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವೂ ಸಹ ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಮನೆಯ ಯಜಮಾನ, ಇತರೆ ವಯಸ್ಕ ಗಂಡಸರು ವಾಪಸ್ಸು ಬರುವ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇದ್ದವು. ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಂಟಾಗಬಹುದಾದ ಆಘಾತಗಳನ್ನು ತಡೆಯುವುದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅಂಶವೆಂದರೆ, ಇತರೆ ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿಂದೂ ಧರ್ಮದ ಆಚರಣೆ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ದೇಶದ ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಇರಬೇಕಾದ ಕಟ್ಟುಪಾಡು ಕೂಡ ಇರಬಹುದು. ಅಥವಾ ಹಿಂದೂ ಧರ್ಮದ ಆಚರಣೆಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ/ಅಡ್ಡಿ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭ ಕೂಡ ಇರಬಹುದು. ಈ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಂದ ಪೀಠಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ನಿರ್ಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇರಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಭಾರತ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬೇರೆ ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಪೂಜೆ ಪುನಸ್ಕಾರಗಳ ಫಲಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಹ ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಇತರ ದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗದಿರಲು ಬಲವಂತ ಮಾಡಿರಬಹುದು.
ಹೀಗೂ ಯೋಚಿಸಬೇಕು..
ಕರ್ಮದ ಪ್ರಧಾನತೆ: ಹಿಂದೂ ಧರ್ಮದ ಮೂಲ ತತ್ವವೆಂದರೆ, ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ಮದ ಫಲವು ನಂಬಿಕೆ, ಶುದ್ಧತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾವದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿದೆ. ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕಿಂತ, ಅದನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಭಾವದಿಂದ (ಭಕ್ತಿ, ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆ) ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಮುಖ್ಯ.
ವೇದಾಂತದ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿ: ವೇದಾಂತದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಇಡೀ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾಂಡವೇ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ. ದೇವರು ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ. ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಅಮೆರಿಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಲಿ, ದೇವರ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಅಡ್ಡಿಯಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳ ಹೊಂದಾಣಿಕೆ: ಕಾಲ ಬದಲಾದಂತೆ, ಪೂಜಾ ವಿಧಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂದಾಣಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳು ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡುತ್ತವೆ. ವಿದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳು ಈಗ ಅದೇ ಪದ್ಧತಿಗಳನ್ನು (ಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಸಹಿತ) ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.

Other countries besides India are often referred to as Bhogabhoomi (Land of Enjoyment/Experience). Some strict traditionalists and heads of religious Peethas (seats of learning) consider the notion that Pujas performed abroad are not recognised to be correct for the following reasons:
Constraint of Sankalpa: The Sankalpa (ritualistic vow) performed at the beginning of a Puja mentions the Desha (country), Kala (time), and Kshetra (sacred place). The radiance of the sacred Karmabhoomi is believed not to be present in the Bhogabhoomi.
Purity Factor: The sacred materials required for many Vedic rituals, holy rivers (Ganga, Yamuna, Kaveri), and the specific environment needed are often not available abroad.
Today, this statement can be explained as "Not True". Ocean travel was very difficult in the past. Long-distance travel was also difficult. The chances of the head of the family or other adult males returning were low. The main purpose was to prevent potential trauma to the family. Another important factor is that our Hindu religious practices may not be observed in other countries. There might be restrictions in accordance with the religion of that country, or there could be circumstances where Hindu religious practices face opposition/obstruction. It is due to these reasons that the Peethadhipatis (religious leaders) had imposed restrictions. Similarly, they might have compelled people not to travel to other countries by stating that the results of the Pujas and rituals performed outside India would not be obtained.

Primacy of Karma: The fundamental principle of Hindu Dharma is that the result of karma primarily depends on faith, purity, and sincerity of emotion (Bhaava). What matters is the Bhaava (devotion, dedication) with which the Puja is performed, rather than the place where it is done.
Scope of Vedanta: According to Vedanta, the entire universe is the creation of Brahman. God is everywhere. The location—be it a temple in India or America—does not hinder the realisation of God.
Adaptation of Shastras: The Shastras allow for adaptation (adjustment) of Puja methods and rules as time changes. Temples abroad now follow the same procedures (including Sankalpa).
My Final Opinion
The statement, "India is Karmabhoomi, therefore Pujas performed abroad are not recognised," is a viewpoint stemming from a strict classical and traditional interpretation.
However, viewing it through the wider scope of the Bhakti Marga (Path of Devotion) and Vedanta, the result of religious actions primarily depends on the concentration of mind and the depth of devotion. Whether you are in America or India, your sincerity and pure devotion will reach God.
