INVESTIGATING THE PANDEMIC CORONA COVID 19

Oh! enough of advice. Why don't we assess what exactly needs to be done to cure this corona-covid.

Tested positive? no worries... You can get cured quickly. Strong Mind, Will Power, Not yielding to Panic/Anxiety, Change in diet, Being Happy by thinking positive, etc, are the key. read full.

Of course, we need to be very serious, and it is necessary to take all preventive measures to ensure that we don't catch the coronavirus (COVID-19).

CORONA COVID PANDEMIC-investigating the pandemic

THEN

Looking back at the lifestyle of Brahmins decades ago, I recall how we would often protest and disregard their customs. However, their daily routine was quite systematic. They would wake up early, bathe before eating or drinking, and prepare all their meals at home, ensuring the quality and cleanliness of the food. Freshness was also a top priority, as they never stored food for subsequent meals. Our parents would always remind us to wash our hands after returning from school or play, and before sitting down for breakfast or dinner. Social gatherings were typically small and intimate, likely due to the smaller population and the desire to keep expenses down, which meant that invitations were usually limited to close family members.

NOW

To adopt these age-old guidelines, we first need to change our mindset. We must alter our food habits, avoiding stale, junk, and deep-fried foods. To make this switch and adopt timely and healthy eating habits, we need to be mentally strong. Additionally, we should restrict large gatherings, refraining from hosting and attending them.

THEN

Remember the proverb: "When you get a cold, if you take medicine, you're cured within a week, and if you don't take medicine, it takes seven long days to get cured." There was no medicine to prevent catching a cold. Maintaining distance was adhered to. Had the RT-PCR test been available earlier, every patient would have tested positive. And when one person got a cold, it was natural that several people who came into contact with them would contract the same illness. We referred to it as an illness back then. Even earlier, severe colds would sometimes develop into pneumonia. Of course, the percentage of deaths was very insignificant.

NOW

Now, we label catching a cold a pandemic. Our poor diet and living habits have weakened our immunity. Furthermore, many people have diabetes and hypertension. Now, we are adding a fear factor (the fear of not surviving if we contract COVID-19) to our minds, which will only serve to shorten our lifespan.

THEN

Ayurvedic ingredients were abundantly used in food preparation, naturally providing us with enough medicine to keep our immune system strong. Additionally, we had an abundance of natural, clean air, negligible pollution levels, and few motor vehicles, which meant shorter travel times.

NOW

The air is polluted. Travel times have increased, and we often do so with tension on our minds. We rely on packaged foods, and as a result, we can't be sure of having a strong immune system.

TO CONCLUDE

We should remember that, to date, there is no medicine to prevent catching a cold, sore throat, or viral fever. Medicine is only necessary once we've contracted one of these illnesses, in order to cure it. We must also remember that colds, sore throats, and viral fevers have existed for centuries, affecting people worldwide.

Now, if we want to improve our immunity, the available option is vaccination, not ayurvedic medicines that are making headlines over-the-counter. We never regularly used proper quantities of pepper, cumin, ginger, cinnamon, and other spices (ಮೆಣಸು ಜೀರಿಗೆ ಶುಂಠಿ ದಾಲ್ಚಿನ್ನಿ, etc.). If we start using these spices now, it's beneficial, but improving immunity may take some years. However, if we suddenly start consuming them in excess, it's likely to backfire, leading to other health disorders or complications.

I recall my pre-university English session, where the professor taught a lesson called "Doctor's Word." In it, a patient informed the doctor that he had lost hope of survival. Although the doctor privately had little hope for the patient's recovery, he assured the patient and his family that he would recover quickly, despite having an incurable disease. The doctor's words changed the patient's mindset, and as a result, the patient responded to the medicine and overcame the disease, making a full recovery.

When we receive a COVID-positive report, we tend to think negatively. However, it's essential to maintain a positive mindset, even when tested positive. To turn a positive test result into a negative one, all we need is strong willpower. We shouldn't be swayed by the statistics presented in the media. Everyday deaths occur regularly everywhere, but now these ordinary deaths are being attributed to COVID-19. The pharmaceutical lobby is at its peak, and doctors need patients too. During last year's prolonged lockdown, many general clinics had no patients, as the general public enjoyed good health due to reduced pollution, tension, and consumption of hotel or junk food.

Although catching a cold was prevalent worldwide, research into preventing it wasn't prioritised because colds were easily curable. However, with advances in science and innovations, scientists have discovered numerous viral variants. We shouldn't downplay the seriousness of COVID-19. We shouldn’t deny the seriousness of Corona Covid, but we all have become panic, more panic when tested positive leading to real breathlessness!

Another crucial point to note is that the life expectancy of a male in India is 70 years, up from 66 a decade ago. People often fail to understand the underlying causes of death before the expected lifespan. Many individuals desire to live long but neglect to adopt good health habits. Consequently, they suffer from acute health disorders and rely heavily on medication daily. These individuals are the primary targets in the current situation. While COVID-19 has shortened their lifespan, we tend to overlook that they would have succumbed to illness anyway.

However, people have become impatient, agitated, angry, and abusive, refusing to follow guidelines and take responsibility. The public is misled by the media's misrepresentation of the situation, repeatedly shown on television. Everyone must understand that we cannot produce nurses, doctors, hospital beds, oxygen, or ventilators in a short span of months. It's a sorry state of affairs that no one is able to assess the situation logically. To illustrate this point, consider what additional hospitals, beds, or nurses would be useful once the COVID-19 curve is flattened?

Regrettably, some politicians seeking to exploit the situation claim that Prime Minister Modi is responsible for the deaths occurring during the pandemic and for failing to control COVID-19. However, these individuals are aware that they cannot solve the problem either. Nevertheless, India's mortality rate remains significantly lower compared to European and American countries.

As of now, I firmly believe that Corona/Covid, along with cold, sore throat, irritation, and viral fever, will persist for centuries to come. Widespread vaccination may help reduce its spread. We must accept that we have to coexist with this. It's unavoidable. As the proverb goes, "prevention is better than cure." However, in the current situation, prevention is highly unlikely since the virus is invisible. Let's face the situation with a strong mind and unwavering willpower. With this mindset, we can ensure recovery even if infected.

On a lighter note, the present corona time is the only time when we are hoping that our neighbour should also stay healthy!
