ಜ್ಯೋತಿಯ ಜಾಗೃತಿಯ ಹಬ್ಬ
ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸ ನೀಡುವ ಹಬ್ಬ
ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಆಶಾಭಾವದ ಈ ಹಬ್ಬ
ಬೆಳಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ದೀಪ ತುಂಬಾ ವರುಷಗಳಿಂದ
ಈ ವರ್ಷವೂ ಆಚರಿಸೋಣ ಹರುಷದಿಂದ
ಮೂಡಲಿ ಸಂತಸದ ಚಿತ್ತಾರ
ದೂರವಾಗಲಿ ಬದುಕಿನ ಅಂಧಕಾರ
ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಅಂಧಕಾರವನ್ನು ದೂರಮಾಡಿ
ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂಡಯ್ಯಲಿ
ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ದೀಪಾವಳಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು

ನವದುರ್ಗೆಯ ನವರೂಪ ನವರಸದೊಡನೆ
ನವನವೀನ ನವೋಲ್ಲಾಸ
ನಮ್ಮನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಮನೆ ಮನದಲ್ಲಿ
ಮಿಡಿಯಲಿ ಮನೋಲ್ಲಾಸದಿಂದ.

ದೀಪಾವಳಿಯಂದು ಪಟಾಕಿಗಳನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಸಿಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ?
ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕಾರಣಗಳು ಹೀಗಿವೆ:
ಕೃಷ್ಣನು ನರಕಾಸುರನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ ವಿಜಯವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು ನಾವು ಹೇಳಬಹುದು.
ರಾಮನು ರಾವಣನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ ವಿಜಯವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಪುಷ್ಪಕ ವಿಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಯ ನಿಖರವಾದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಲು (ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಮೂಲಕ).
ದಿವಂಗತ ಪೂರ್ವಜರಿಗೆ (ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ) ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇದೆ. ಪಿತೃ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ದಿವಂಗತ ಆತ್ಮಗಳು ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅರ್ಪಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಮತ್ತು ಅವರು ಅಶ್ವಯುಜ ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆಯ ದಿನದಂದು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಪಟಾಕಿ ಸಿಡಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಗಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿಷಕಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಅಂಶಗಳು ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂದು ನಂಬಲಾಗಿದೆ.

Why crackers are burst during Deepavali?
Important ones are:
We may say to celebrate the victory of Krishna over Narakasura.
To celebrate the victory of Rama over Ravana and show Rama the actual location of Ayodhya as Rama was returning in Pushpaka Vimana.
The belief is to show the return path for the departed ancestors (pitru). During Paksha Masa these souls of the demised visit earth to accept the offerings. And they return on Ashwayuja Amavasya day.
It is believed by bursting crackers the toxic and bad elements in the air are destroyed.
