USE DHOOPA NOT INCENSE STICK

say No

Use Dhoopa and not Agarbatti (incense stick)

Bamboo is often used to prepare incense sticks, and it's not recommended to burn bamboo sticks.

In Sanatan Dharma, bamboo is considered a sacred plant, and it's associated with Lord Ganesha and Lord Shiva. Burning bamboo sticks is not considered auspicious, as it's believed to release negative energies.

In fact, many Hindu scriptures and traditions emphasise the importance of using natural and biodegradable materials for worship, and avoiding the burning of any materials that can cause pollution or harm to the environment.

The other forms of worship and offerings, such as using flowers, fruits, and other natural materials, are also considered more acceptable and auspicious.

Remember

we say..

So..

Agarbatti is a later invention. Better to avoid.

For Deepa, it is needless to say that we must use only

For Mangalaarati..

Same. Use

Alternative is ಎಳ್ಳೆಣ್ಣೆ.

For ಶನಿ ದೇವರು, people normally use ಎಳ್ಳೆಣ್ಣೆ.

And.. ಎಳ್ಳೆಣ್ಣೆ is considered more ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ   for pooja of any God.
