Tonight or tomorrow, we don't wear new dress, we don't go to Temple, we don't prepare sweets or special foods, we don't meet our relatives or friends as we do on Vijayadashami or Yugadi Day.
Most importantly we never follow the gregorian calendar for any of our celebrations.
Even our financial year changed from April to March.
Seeing all these, I can definitely say that we all definitely don't celebrate tonight or tomorrow in any manner. Rather, we enjoy watching special programmes over televisions, or try for an outing, etc.
And the funny part is that
Still we send messages 'Happy New Year'
I can only say here 'Enjoy watching good programmes over TV tonight and tomorrow'.
Sorry for projecting a different view on this last day of 2024.

Tomorrow is the New Year of the English people (the Gregorian New Year).
This calendar system is a new almanac/calendar imposed upon us for our daily use just two hundred and fifty years ago.
Since all countries use this, it seems acceptable to us; that is all.
Look at all the statutes/legislations (Shasanas) of India. They are in line with our Sanatana tradition (ancient eternal tradition). This implies that everyone has been following the same (our own calendar) since time immemorial, isn't it? If the British were not here, we would still be using our own calendar/almanac (Panchanga).
Furthermore, what I meant to say is: We have never celebrated the English New Year as a festival. Therefore, saying Bye 2024, Welcome 2025 is correct.
And again, To ensure that Brahmins never forget this almanac/calendar, the daily Sandhyavandane ritual practice exists. 😀😀
Sandhyavandane is an indicator of the Brahmin community's heritage. It has been included in Sandhyavandane so that the daily date is never forgotten. Likewise, Sandhyavandane is beneficial from a health perspective. Sandhyavandane also includes Yoga.

ನಮ್ಮ ಹಣಕಾಸು ವರ್ಷವು ಸಹ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್‌ನಿಂದ ಮಾರ್ಚ್‌ಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ನಾಳೆ ಆಂಗ್ಲರ ಹೊಸ ವರುಷ.
ನಮ್ಮ ನಿತ್ಯ ಉಪಯೋಗಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕೇವಲ ಇನ್ನೂರೈವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಿಸಿರುವ ಹೊಸ ಪಂಚಾಂಗದ ಪದ್ಧತಿ ಇದು.
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ನಮಗೂ ಸರಿ ಎನ್ನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ.
ಭಾರತದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶಾಸನಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿರಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸನಾತನ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದಂತೆ ಇವೆ. ಎಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಅದನ್ನೇ ಅನಾದಿಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದರ್ಥವಲ್ಲವೇ. ಬ್ರಿಟೀಷರು ಇರದಿದ್ದ ಪಕ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಪಂಚಾಂಗವನ್ನೇ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆವು.

ಸಂಧ್ಯಾವಂದನೆ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣ ಜನಾಂಗದ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಸೂಚಕ. ನಿತ್ಯದ ತಾರೀಖು ಮರೆಯದಿರಲು ಸಂಧ್ಯಾವಂದನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸಂಧ್ಯಾವಂದನೆ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಯಿಂದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು. ನಿತ್ಯದ ಸಂಧ್ಯಾವಂದನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಗ ಕೂಡ ಇದೆ.
