Those Days
My immediate boss was a gentleman
to everyone, excluding none.
These Days
My former immediate boss
is now a Big Boss-
He looks big, he speaks big.
Those Days
He had never shown bossism,
but had a special consideration
for our confederation,
supporting every cause
that led to our disintegration,
and blamed the management
for mismanaging human resources,
by manhandling
what should have been useful resources.
These Days
My boss,
since he became a big boss,
has become an executive;
In executing his executive job,
he tries to destroy our confederation,
never minding any confrontation,
but aiming at our disintegration.
Those Days
He used to behave
as very naive;
Though taking the lead,
he tried to plead,
to get the office work done
without hurting anyone.
These Days
He is authoritative,
also never cares,
but tries to mislead us
regarding many of our deeds.
Those Days
When the pressure of work
was increasing his blood pressure,
due to continuous pressure by the executives
to execute the office work speedily
but judiciously,
he was left with no option
other than creating an opportunity
to find opportunists
whom he would influence,
saying he would use his influence
to get them fast-track promotions
provided they were on the right track,
shouldering an extra burden
and reducing his own.
These Days
Though he is unable
to control his blood pressure,
for which he gets frequent check-ups
done by the doctor at regular intervals,
he tries to check frequently
through his surprise visits,
to control his subordinates
at regular intervals,
and increases the blood pressure of all
who have to work under pressure
to avoid orders of VRS or CRS.

ಆ ದಿನಗಳು / ಈ ದಿನಗಳು
ಆ ದಿನಗಳು (Those Days)
ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸಜ್ಜನರು,
ಪರರಾಗಲೀ ಸ್ವಜನರಾಗಲೀ, ಸಮಭಾವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತವರು.
ಈ ದಿನಗಳು (These Days)
ಆ ಸೌಜನ್ಯದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಇಂದು ಮಹಾ ಸಾಹೇಬರು –
ದೇಹದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡರು, ದನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಬ್ಬರರು.
ಆ ದಿನಗಳು (Those Days)
ಅವರು ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಎಂದೂ ಮೆರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ;
ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಘಕ್ಕಿತ್ತರು ವಿಶೇಷ ಮಮಕಾರ.
ವಿಘಟನೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದ ಪ್ರತಿ ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕೂ ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಿ,
ಮಾನವ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲವ ದುರುಪಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಆಡಳಿತವನ್ನೇ ದೂಷಿಸಿ. ಬಳಸಬೇಕಾದ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನೂ ದುರ್ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಈ ದಿನಗಳು (These Days)
ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿಯಾದರು,
ಕಾರ್ಯದ ಭರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಒಕ್ಕೂಟವ ನಾಶ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೊರಟರು.
ಯಾವುದೇ ತಿಕ್ಕಾಟಕೆ ಹಿಂಜರಿಯದೆಯೇ,
ಕೇವಲ ವಿಭಜನೆಯೆಂಬುದನ್ನೇ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡರು.
ಆ ದಿನಗಳು (Those Days)
ಅವರು ಮುಗ್ಧರಂತೆ ವರ್ತಿಸುತಿದ್ದರು,
ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲಿ ನಿಂತು, ವಿನಂತಿಯಲಿ ನುಡಿದು,
ಯಾರಿಗೂ ನೋವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮುಗಿಸುತಿದ್ದರು.
ಈ ದಿನಗಳು (These Days)
ಈಗ ಅವರೇ ಸರ್ವಾಧಿಕಾರಿ, ನಿರ್ದಯಿ;
ನಮ್ಮ ಅನೇಕ ಸತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ
ತಪ್ಪು ದಾರಿಗೆ ಎಳೆಯಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸುವರು.
ಆ ದಿನಗಳು (Those Days)
ಕಚೇರಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಬೇಗನೆ,
ನ್ಯಾಯಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಮುಗಿಸಲು ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿಗಳಿಂದ ಒತ್ತಡ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದಾಗ,
ಆ ತೀವ್ರ ಒತ್ತಡ ಅವರ ರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿತು.
ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿ, ಅವಕಾಶಗಳ ಹುಡುಕಾಟಕ್ಕಿಳಿದು,
ತಮ್ಮ ಭಾರವ ಕಮ್ಮಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ಇತರರಿಗೆ ಭಾರ ಹೊರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ, "ನೀವು ಸರಿಯಾದ ಪಥದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೆ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಬಳಸಿ, ಶೀಘ್ರ ಬಡ್ತಿ ಕೊಡುವೆ" ಎಂದರು ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿ.
ಈ ದಿನಗಳು (These Days)
ಇಂದು ಅವರ ರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡ ಹಿಡಿತಕ್ಕೇ ಸಿಗದು,
ಆಗಾಗ ವೈದ್ಯರ ಬಳಿ ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಮಾಡಿಸದೇ ಇರಲಾರರು.
ಆದರೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧೀನರನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸಲು
ಅಚ್ಚರಿಯ ಭೇಟಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಆಗಾಗ್ಗೆ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವರು.
VRS (ಸ್ವಯಂ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ) ಅಥವಾ CRS (ಕಡ್ಡಾಯ ನಿವೃತ್ತಿ)
ಆದೇಶದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು
ಒತ್ತಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವ ಎಲ್ಲರ ರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡವನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವರು.
